1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, restaurant name, and phone number when you book a demo or create an account. We also collect POS transaction data that you authorize us to access through your POS provider (Square, Clover, SpotOn, or Toast) via OAuth.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve LorvenPOS analytics services
  • Generate daily SMS briefings and operational insights
  • Analyze transaction patterns to deliver actionable recommendations
  • Communicate with you about your account and our services
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues
  • Train and improve machine learning models using de-identified, aggregated data

3. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted on dedicated servers with Cloudflare providing edge security, DDoS protection, and TLS termination. Data is never stored on local devices. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or POS transaction data. We may share data with:

  • POS providers (Square, Clover, SpotOn, Toast) as required for integration
  • Service providers who assist in operating our platform (e.g., SMS delivery, cloud hosting)
  • Law enforcement when required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Retention

We retain your POS transaction data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon account termination, we delete your data within fifteen (15) days, except where retention is required by law.

Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify you or your business may be retained after account termination for service improvement and industry analysis.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Revoke POS data access at any time through your POS provider settings
  • Opt out of marketing communications

7. SMS & Mobile Information

When you opt in to SMS during account onboarding, LorvenPOS collects your mobile number, the timestamp of consent, and a record of any STOP, START, or HELP keyword replies. This data is used solely to deliver transactional business alerts (daily briefings, labor cut alerts, loss-prevention flags, and system notifications), to honor opt-out requests, and to demonstrate compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information described in this Privacy Policy exclude mobile opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for any purpose other than delivering the SMS messages you have requested. Our SMS delivery provider (Telnyx) processes your number only as needed to transmit messages on our behalf.

You may revoke SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to any message. Standard message and data rates may apply. See our Terms of Service for the complete SMS program terms.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
